Beverly Ann Actis Burright Obituary
Our beautiful mother, Beverly, was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 7, 1935 to Eli and Lois Actis. She passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 11, 2014 surrounded by our loving, yet broken hearts. Her devoted husband and our father, Richard, passed away in 2002.
Beverly was raised in Bakersfield and attended Garces High School where she was the first female class president. She spent most of her working life as an executive assistant, but she will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and sister. Our mother was an accomplished wildlife artist, past president of the Bakersfield Art Association, an award winning cook and an excellent seamstress. In addition, she participated in conducting the Grief Share Program at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Bakersfield and was active in their ministries. She was a devout Catholic, a wonderful role model and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
We'd like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Glenwood Gardens' Claire Bridge care facility and Hoffmann Hospice for their loving care of our mother, their friendship to our mother and for their unfailing dedication to their chosen profession.
We shall cherish our memories of our mother, a truly gentle soul, now in the care of our Heavenly Father.
St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 7100 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield, CA will conduct the Rosary beginning at 9:30 AM on Monday, October 27, 2014 followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM.
Beverly is survived by her brother Robert (Carol) Actis of Tollhouse, CA; her sisters Alice Newton and Marian Ansolabehere (Ben) Martinez of Bakersfield, CA; her nephews and her nieces; and her loving family; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kim Burright of Fresno, CA, their children Chris and Stephanie; daughter, Susan Burright ( in loving memory of Dean Johnson) of Tehachapi, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jim Seymour of Bakersfield, CA, and their children Marisa and Heather; and very dear friend Florence Seymour.
Until we meet again.
