Beverly Ruth "Bev" Baker

Beverly "Bev" Ruth Baker June 28, 1949 - November 13, 2010 Bev passed away peacefully at her home in Bakersfield, CA on Saturday, November 13, 2010, surrounded by her loved ones. Bev was born in Minneapolis, MN to Albert E. Brown, Sr. and Ardys (Brown) Carlton. Thirty-six years ago Bev and Phil found the love of their lives and one year later they formed a bond based on love, honesty, loyalty and became husband and wife. The combined family included Bev's daughter and son and Phil's two daughters. All together they became a very loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Stafford and Lela Baker whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her husband, Phil Baker; their four children, Wendy Jarrett (Chris), Sheila Youngblood, Tawni Baker (Jamie Trevino) and Robert Gaumond (Traci). Grandchildren, Ashley Buys, Charles Zaremba, Elias and Corey Trevino, and Logan Jarrett. Great Grandchild, Anna Olson. She also leaves behind her brothers, sisters and in-in-laws, Bonnie McQueen (Tom), Brenda Mosesian, Allen Brown (Helga), Albert Brown, Jr. (Brenda), Augie Brown (Shelia), Patty Beck (Bill), Art Brown (Rhonda), Mary Peters (Shawn), Sandy Lancaster, Susie Duncan (Danny); and her numerous nieces and nephews. Bev's vibrant personality affected everyone and everything she met. She adored animals and went out of her way to care for them. Bev had a profound impact on those who crossed her path. Her generous and caring nature will be missed by all! The family is extremely grateful for the dedicated and caring services of Hoffmann Hospice, (Felicia, Ana and Laney).
