Billy Dwane Turner Obituary
Billy Dwane Turner September 1, 1953 - April 15, 2013 On April 15, 2013 Billy Dwane Turner, age 59 left us to return to his wife, Maelynn, in Heaven. Billy was born on September 1, 1953 in Bakersfield, CA, where he resided his entire life. Billy was a avid fisherman and loved to spend his time fishing at Lake Isabella. He also loved working on and racing cars, he in fact met his future wife while cruising and racing down Chester in 1973. He also loved taking off spur of the moment, with his wife and just driving, new places, old places, it didn't matter, just being with each other, he always joked that his wife was his best navigator. A few of his favorite spots to go to were Yosemite, Morro Bay, peppermint creek, and spending weekends at the "shack" in Santa Cruz with family and friends. If you were to ever ask Billy he would tell you in great detail stories of how he'd build and modified old race cars, particularly his mustang or his Chevy Blazer, stories about his greatest fishing escapades, and speed records he set while driving. Billy also had an infectious sense of humor and loved to joke and kid around with everyone. Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Maelynn Turner, mother Deloris Turner, father Haskell Turner, father in law Samuel Hunt, and mother in law Novella Hunt. Survivors include his three children, Misty Chipman, Christy Turner, and Brandy Clark and husband Nathan Clark. Grandchildren Joseph and Desiree Chipman, Lacey, Kenny, and Korey Turner, Samuel, Atticus, and Clara Clark, and sisters Debbie Barta and Tami Turner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held graveside at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., Saturday April 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. Family asks that instead of flowers please make donations to a charity that meant a lot to the family, the National M.S.
