Bonnie Mae Hollingsworth Obituary
In Loving Memory of
Bonnie was born in DesMoines, Iowa to William and Cecil Hull. She lost her battle to cancer surrounded by a family who loved her, and was impressed by her faith and courage.
She is survived by her husband Don; brother Harold (Carleen); daughters, Diana (Chester) McKnight, Cindy (Ken) McMinn, Julie (Sam) Alldredge, Debbie (Rudy) Ramirez, Kathy Jo (Scott) Berner and Cevi Adams; and step-sons, Mike (Jane) Hollingsworth, Don (Cheryl) Hollingsworth and Pat (Leslie) Hollingsworth.
Before her marriage to Don she worked any job she could to feed her girls. Bonnie married Don, the love of her life, March 15, 1973. Bonnie and Don owned an oilfield service (Golden Service Co.) for 13 years. In 1981 they bought Glenville Hardware. Bonnie worked the store for one year while Don sold their house and business in Taft. Bonnie to this day would have loved to have gone back to live in Glenville.
Later Bonnie and Don traveled for five years in their 5th wheel to travel all lower 48 states and Canada. They later flew to Alaska and Hawaii. She loved traveling and fishing with her husband.
People who have had the greatest affect on her life was her mom, dad, husband Don, daughters, close friends: Harrell and Paulette, Charlie and Glena, Reagan and Bob and last Paulette and Smitty.
Bonnie's family would like to say thank you for all the prayers, food and love sent to us. It was greatly appreciated.
There will be a celebration of life on Friday, March 13th at 11:00am at Dove Creek Bible Church, 5131 Office Park Dr., and will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Harrington.
In lieu of flowers you may make donations to the Kern County Cancer Fund at CBCC.
Words from Mom,
"To All My Family and Friends Be Good & Love God."
