Bradford Leon Peacock November 17, 1939 - June 15, 2012 Brad passed away Friday June 15, 2012. His life will be celebrated Thursday, June 28th at Hodels Restaurant located at 5917 Knudsen Dr. People are asked to arrive at 6 p.m. Dinner will be provided at 6:30 and the service will begin at 7 p.m. This event is a celebration and it requested that people attend wearing golf attire or casual summer wear. Brad was born in Bakersfield where he lived the majority of his life. He attended Bakersfield High School and finished his senior year at the Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, Ca. Following high school Brad attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He served in the Army and was stationed in Hawaii. After the military he married Marjorie Wiley and they had two sons, Wayne and Jeffery Peacock. He worked as a trust, title, and loan officer, but his passion was golf and the last ten years before he retired was spent working in the pro shop at Sundale Golf Course. He loved the game of golf and was known by many for his talent in the sport. Brad was a loving father to his two sons and was a second father to all of their friends. The Peacock house was always filled with kids and Brad loved to be in the middle of it. Brad had many friends and never had anything bad to say about anyone. He will be missed by his sons, friends, and the golfing community. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. www.bakersfield.com/obits
