Bradley Eugene Davidson Obituary
Bradley Eugene Davidson, passed away with his family by his side on May 20, 2015 due to multiple heart and lung complications. Sent by God on a mission to teach us to love, his work was complete.
Born on February 27, 1978, Bradley was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth. He was also diagnosed with multiple heart and lung conditions at the age of one and was not expected to live to the age of two. Bradley defied medical odds and lived to be 37 years old.
While his face may have been different, in many ways, he was the same. God chose a special dedicated mother for Bradley to love and be loved by. Given the best start in life, he achieved several accomplishments in life that not all diagnosed with Down Syndrome might. He proudly graduated from Foothill High School in 1997. Bradley learned to read and write and he loved reading the Bible; he could tell you where any story was in the Old and New Testaments.
When he was younger, Bradley was infatuated by Laurel and Hardy, and would carry on endless conversations with his imaginary friends. He also loved listening to books on tapes, Gunsmoke being his favorite. Later in life he passed the time by watching John Wayne western movies. But above all, Bradley loved to dance, eat, and drink iced tea and soda.
Bradley loved socializing. If you were a family member or old friend you could count on a hug and a beautiful smile. He had a big heart and loved many people, and many people loved him. During the last few years of his life, medical complications increased his dependence on oxygen limiting his ability to attend church and social events. Although his public appearance was hampered, he never forgot his family or friends, frequently asking about those he had not seen in a while.
Bradley is proceeded in death by his Grandpa Raymond and Grandma Maddie and five short months ago his Grandma, Helen Rose, his best friend for life to whom he was very close.
With heavy hearts we are left to carry on. Survived by his father Wesley Davidson. Mother, Sherri and Stepfather, Roy Johnson. Sister, Shannon Davidson-Peacock (Jack Peacock), and stepsister and stepbrother, Maghan Stevens and Kirk Johnson, multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation 5 p.m. May 27th, Basham Funeral Care Chapel 3312 Niles St; Service 11 a.m. May 28th, Truth Tabernacle 214 Hosking Ave.
