In Loving Memory of Bryan Folkner June 9, 1968 - May 7, 2012 Bryan lived his life as a dedicated and loving family man. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Amy; his 8 year old daughter, Emily; and 6 year old son, Ryan. He leaves behind his mothers, Clydene Hill and Shirley Folkner; his fathers, Jim Folkner and Steve Hill. He is also survived by his sisters, Kim McDonald, Leslie Hester, Hannah Kirk, Michelle Folkner; and his brother, Daniel Folkner. He was born in Bakersfield and was raised with his twin sister, Kim in California. He graduated from Upland High School in 1986 and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton. Bryan worked for 22 years at Invensys, and he referred to his colleagues as his "work family". He had a brilliant mind and wanted to share his knowledge with everyone around him. For 17 months, Bryan fought a courageous battle with cancer. The strength he demonstrated during this time was nothing short of heroic. On May 7, 2012, Bryan passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. A memorial was held May 20, 2012, at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills.
