Buford Wayne Ridley Obituary
Born to Buford Ridley and Beulah (Shadden) Ridley in the small town of Duncan, Oklahoma.
In 1944 the family moved west to Arvin, California. Wayne was in the first graduating class of Arvin high. Soon after he enlisted into the United States Navy. He was the voice for the local armed forces radio station. He also was Sailor of the Year. Wayne worked while in the Navy with computers. His rate was called, Machine Accountant, which later would be called Data Processor. After his service to our country he took employment with Kern Land Company and then went on to be Supervisor Data Processing for Kern High School District.
Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna Lee Ridley. He is survived by his three sons, Craig, Michael and Daniel, and many grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Military Funeral will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, Thursday, 6 February 2014 at 1:15pm.
