Burrell Bennett Lollis Obituary
Burrell Lollis was born in Van Buren, Arkansas.
In 1928, his parents, Virgil and Helen Lollis, moved the family to San Bernardino, California. After graduation from high school in 1936, Burrell was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as a boiler maker welder.
In 1939, Burrell married Bessie Wimberly and they were blessed with two sons, Gary and David. He loved to travel and go fishing, especially in his retirement years.
Burrell is survived by his sons Gary (Mel) and David (Phylis), grandchildren Julie Johnson, John (Chastity) Lollis, Allen (Tara) Lollis, and Jeanette (Zach) Toelke, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. The children always brought a smile to Burrell's face. Preceding Burrell in death were his parents, his wife Bessie, brothers Charles, Wortley, Bernard, Virgil, Sister Bethell Del George, and grandson Patrick Lollis.
The family is very appreciative of the wonderful, loving care given Burrell at Whispering Pines Assisted Living.
Graveside services were held at Montecito Park in Colton, California. Greenlawn Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
