Carol Coffey Boden 1956 ~ 2012 Carol Boden of Bakersfield, CA, passed away June 27, 2012, after an eleven-month battle with cancer, at the age of 55. Carol was born August 13, 1956, to William and Cecilia Coffey in Houston, TX. A daughter of an Air Force colonel, she lived in New Hampshire; Turkey; Cape Cod, MA; and Germany. She graduated from Kaiserslautern High School in Germany. Carol was a truly amazing woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She was always happily involved in their schools and activities. She spent time as a Girl Scout co-leader for her daughter and her granddaughters, volunteered for Links for Life, and was very involved in Relay for Life for many years. Carol treated everyone equally. She had a generous heart and a contagious smile. She always did things for others. She was courageous, kind, gentle, and very loving. She will be greatly missed. Carol was employed by Wells Fargo Bank for 28 years. She loved her job, her co-workers, and her customers. Carol was very knowledgeable in all aspects of banking and so much more. She knew everything about anything. She spent many years as a customer service manager at multiple branches throughout Bakersfield. Most recently, she worked in the RCBO office and loved every minute of it! Carol has joined her beloved husband, Mike Boden, in Heaven, and they are dancing away. She is survived by her parents, William and Cecilia Coffey; sister, Colleen Coffey; brother, Stephen Coffey and wife, Mary; sister, Kathie Martin and husband, Mike; sisters-in-law, Dawn, Karen, and Konny Boyd and Sheila Dormier; son, Jason Boyd and wife, Melissa; daughter, Tracy Zimmermann and husband, Adam; stepchildren, Adam Childress, Kiley Roberts, Kody Boden, and Kimberly Sandiford, along with their spouses and children; and grandchildren, Marisa Salcido, Gabrielle and Lilly Zimmermann, and Jonathan Boyd.
