Caroline was a devoted catholic at St. Joseph's parish where she led Eucharistic Adoration for many years. The two most important things in her life were her faith and her family. Her sincere love for her family could be seen in the gentleness in her eyes. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy always boasting about them to those she knew. When Caroline wasn't spending time with her family she could often be found playing bingo. She enjoyed the excitement of playing and the anticipation of winning. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Nieto; son, Val Hunter; granddaughter, Samantha Haskell and grandson, Anthony Valdez. She is survived by her mother, Lupe Nieto; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Crespin Valdez; daughter and son-in-law, Yvette and Frank Haskell; grandchildren, Kevin Hall, Nicole Starr, Sean Starr, Frankie Haskell, and Caroline Haskell; great-granddaughters, Rylee and Kaylee Hall; brothers, Frank, Charles, Johnny, and Ron Nieto; sisters Chris Gannon and Dolores Elkins; many nieces and nephews; her friends in Christ, David and Edith Pena; and best friend, Mary Santana. Thank you to all the kind nurses and staff at San Joaquin Community Hospital and Hoffmann Hospice for all their compassion and care during her final days.
