We used to walk to Hawthorne Elementary school together with some others from the neighborhood 3rd-6th, then Emerson, when on Truxtun, she became a majorette and I played in the Driller Band. Graduated same class, lost contact. She was always a good friend

Uncle Owney, I am so sorry to hear of Carrie's passing. Although I only met her on one occasion (at our family reunion), I remember her quick wit and smile. She was such a sweet, warm person. I know your heart must be breaking, and that you miss her so very much. I hope you can find some solace in knowing that you had the privilege of loving her, and she you. Know that my heart is with yours, and may God bring comfort to you, and to all of our family in this loss of such a dearly loved one.

Unca Owney,
I will never forget Carrie's smile and warm easy going way. I would not venture to guess how deeply you must be grieving, but I can tell you how great the love is flowing from me to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I know you will survive this with her loving memories to see you thru.

Owen,
Daddy and I send our love from Missouri. You are in our thoughts and prayers. If anyone knows how you feel right now it's daddy. Just know he is praying for you and truly hates this. It's such a hard thing to walk through, but if you will draw close and lean on Jesus He really will help you get through this time. No one can tell you how to do this because everyone has to find their own way through this process and it's okay to grieve the way YOU need to. Call us when you need to or are ready to. Love from Missouri,

Owen, i have also lost a good friend from the past in Carrie, almost everyday from the third grade until Emerson we walked to school together with some other firends. I remember Dutch and the work he did at the foundry but lost contact after 1960. We graduated together, class of "58" i was in the band and she was a majorette. Her smile will not be forgotten. Blessings to you during this time. La Verne Twist

Carrie graduated from BHS in '58. I knew and liked her very much
from the 1st grade at Green Acres, thru Elementary at Hawthrone,
then Emerson before BHS. I remember Carrie was very much into
majoretting and I remember her at a kind and caring person. She will
be a loss to all.

Dear Owen
It is a feeling of great saddness to learn of Carrie's passing! Carrie was a good friend during our high school years and in our neighborhood. She was a beautiful girl with a smile that always made you smile back. She had a very sweet spirit about her and was a caring person that put others first. I have thought of her often through the years and wondered how she was doing. The 45 years of marriage you had with Carrie is a testament to the goodness of you both, I shall always remember Carrie with good thoughts and memories of our youth. She was one in a million!
I do recall your telling me one time years ago that she said to tell me hi! That act of kindess made me very happy.
Sincerely
Don Hall
