Charles Henry Hardoin August 9, 1930 - September 28, 2012 Charles Hardoin, 82, passed away on Sept 28, 2012 due to complications from dementia. He is at peace in heaven, reunited with the love of his life Donna Leigh Hardoin, who preceded him in death in March 2010. Forever remembered by children Philip (Michele) of Monterey, California, Melanie (Jeff Jones) of San Jose, California and Michael (Teri) of Folsom, California. Greatly missed by grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, Kaitlin, Taylor, Brian, Nathan and Melissa and great-grandchildren Camdyn and Tynlee. Also survived by his brother John, sister Lorraine Quinn, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Charles was also preceded in death by his parents Jean and Catherine Hardoin. Charles was born in Hanford, California and raised in Wasco, California where he attended local schools, began his career, married, and raised his family; always considering Wasco home. He began working in the agriculture industry as a young adult, and remained working in ag-related positions most of his life. With his last job, Charlie and Donna moved to Fresno, where they remained until his retirement. From Fresno they returned closer to home, with a move to Bakersfield until declining health finally brought them to Folsom. Charles' greatest delights were his children and grandchildren. He measured his success by the family he loved, and treasured most the times when everyone was together. He enjoyed sports and is remembered as a standout football player while at Wasco High School. He was fascinated by history and loved playing cards, especially cribbage; competitive even with the grandkids, taking credit when they won (with his contagious laugh) for teaching them well. Charles will be remembered with a smile by all who knew him.
