Chester Dwight "Chet" Arnold

Cowboy, Choirmaster, Corporate Controller - Chester Dwight Arnold lived a full life. Born March 17, 1927 he passed from this world December 8, 2014.
Survived by his sons William (Linda) of Edmonton, Canada and Kent (Lynne) of Portland, Oregon, grandchildren Justin, Erik and Kathleen, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marlene and son James. Born and raised in Alliance, Nebraska, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. After discharge in mid 1946 he obtained a commercial pilot license and flew sight-seeing trips over the Grand Canyon. He returned to the Spade Ranch in Nebraska to cowboy and to raise a family. His enchantment with the American Southwest would lead him to return to Arizona in the 1970's. In 1980 Chet and Marlene moved to Bakersfield, calling it home for the rest of their lives.
The family is grateful to Chet and Marlene's many friends and especially the unflagging contribution of Brad Crowder and his wife Linda, for their constant help and attention.
Inurnment has taken place at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
