Cynthia, who was known to most as "Cindy," was born on September 21, 1969, in Bakersfield, CA, to Frank and Linda Cabral. She attended South High, where she ran track and enjoyed riding her horse, "Stymie." At 23 years old, Cindy started her career at FoodMaxx, where she continued to work for 22 years as a retail clerk and front end manager. During those years, she was always known as a dedicated and hardworking individual. 
    Cindy enjoyed most everything about life. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Nana, a title that she cherished. She mostly enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, bike riding, walking her two beagles, "Roxy" and "Gidget," all of which involved what she loved most, her family and friends. Cindy is survived by her husband of 16 years, Armando Mendoza; son, Scott Sterling and daughter-in-law, Tiffany; daughter, Michelle Barron and husband, Ruben; son, AJ; grandchildren, Lainey (Nay-Nay) and Deagan Sterling, Gabriel, Ruben, and Isaiah Barron; parents, Frank and Linda Cabral; brother Steve Cabral and sister-in-law, Cyndi; nephew, Stephen Cabral and wife, Sarah; nephew, Jeremy Cabral and wife, Kristen; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Cindy passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on October 24, 2014, after a hard battle with lung cancer. She will be greatly missed by all who had been blessed by her presence.
  A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Celebration of Life Center, 2739 Panama Lane with reception to follow at Bakersfield City Firefighters Hall, 7320 Wible Road. For condolences please visit www.greenlawnmortuaryandcemetery.com.
