Cynthia Shiflett Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce that Cynthia Duvall-Shiflett succumbed to her illness on Tuesday April 15, 2014.   Cindy began her brief battle with lung cancer on February 15, 2014 and fought every step of the way.  She passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
Cindy was born in Bakersfield July 20, 1960.  She graduated from Foothill high school where she was head cheerleader, and after took some classes at Bakersfield College. Cindy worked for her parents in their family business before she stumbled upon her passion as a Pharmacy Technician for more than decade. After years apart she re-married her love Ron in 2000.
Cindy was very passionate about her family.  Every day after work she would stop by her parent's house to check on them before going home.  Once home she would spend time with her husband, the dogs, and tend to her garden.  Cindy loved being outdoors planting and gardening.   Cindy also loved "girl's weekends" at the beach and shopping in L.A. with her mother, sister, and niece.
Cindy will always be remembered for her fighting spirit, her passion for life and family, and her "Cindy-isms." We will always know you are looking down and laughing with us when we say "put it in a bubble and let it go" and "pound sand dude."
She is survived by her husband Ron, father & mother Jim and Marie Duvall, sister and brother in law Sandra and John Cope, and nephew and niece Brandon and Breanne Cope.
Funeral services will be Graveside at Shafter Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10 A.M.
