D. Wayne Day Cameron Obituary
In loving memory of Wayne Cameron who was born in Casper, Wy., but lived most of his life in Bakersfield, Ca. He graduated from East High School in 1959 and married Bonnie (Sceales) Cameron in 1960. Before retiring in 2001, he worked for Advance Beverage Company for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, his second home in Kernville, Nascar races, and, of course, Bud Light. Upon retiring, Wayne got the thrill of a lifetime when he attended the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas. He was so excited to drive an actual race car and reach his top speed of 147 mph! He loved spending weekends with his whole family up in Kernville even when it got a little chaotic. Wayne's family and friends will miss him on Sunday football and race days.
Wayne passed away unexpectedly on Sunday and was preceded in death by his sister, Donna, and his parents, Donald and Dorothy Cameron. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, of 53 years; daughters Kim Pelham (Mark) and Kari Weaver (Don) and son Dennis Cameron (Kris.) He is also survived by brothers Larry Cameron (Lupe) and Mickey Cameron (Priscilla) and brother-in-law Mike Sceales (Lana.) Wayne was also loved by his 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of Dennis and Kris Cameron on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
We love you, Dad. You will be missed so much. Love, Kim, Kari and Dennis.
