Dan Earl Lamb Obituary
Beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather Dan Earl Lamb returned to his heavenly home on May 29, 2015 Dan was born on October 6, 1955 in Mesa, Arizona to Edwin Nathan Lamb and Jennie (Bloomfield) Lamb. He was raised in Gilbert, Arizona, where he first developed a love of agriculture and harvesting. He served as a full-time missionary for two years in the Boston, Massachusetts area for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He returned home and married the love of his life Susan Douglas on September 30, 1977. He later moved to California and worked with Darwin Omdahl Harvesting. He later obtained ownership of the company which merged into Lamb Chops, Inc., a harvesting business, in Bakersfield, California with his brother, Keith Lamb. He loved spending time with family, aviation, vacations to the sand dunes, golf, the Bakersfield Jam basketball team, the Bakersfield Blaze baseball team, evenings at the Kern County Raceway Park, and working with and teaching youth. He always wanted what was best for youth so they would have a better life. He was involved with the Bakersfield Flying Club, AOPA, US Custom Harvesters, and other community organizations. He loved people and maintained great relationships with all he came in contact with throughout the world. He was a loving, compassionate, patient, and understanding father, husband, and friend. By example, he taught his children the value of hard work, compassion, and forgiveness. He loved his family dearly and spent time with them as much as possible.
