Darleen Faye Harlan (Eddy) (Lasiter) June 1, 1944 - April 17, 2012 Born in Titusville, PA to Norman Robert Eddy and Elizabeth Jane (Ives) Allen. Darleen was like a Ray of Sunshine to those who knew her, quick to make a friend with her warm smile and accepting nature. She was married the last 23 years to her beloved sweetheart John Harlan who quickly became Papa John to her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandkids. Darleen is preceded in death by her father, mother and brother Bruce Eddy leaving two sisters Paula Minton of Bakersfield and Sharon Marrasco of Bakersfield. She leaves four daugthers known as the "Lasiter Girls", Penny Howze of Bakersfield, Sheri Wilbourn of Tehachapi, Jodi Straus of Logansport, LA and Christina "Crissy" Foster of Eureka, stepson JR Harlan of Bakersfield, stepdaughter Jeanne Scorsur of Morgan Hill, 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. Mom loved music, dancing, travel and social gatherings with family and friends, she would always round up the family for Pizza Night when she made a trip to Bakersfield. For the last several years Mom and Papa spent their summers as Camp Hosts up North at E-Ne-Nuck Campgrounds, providing those who visited with many adventures and wonderful memories. She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, warm smile, terrific hugs, accepting non-judgmental nature and ability to make all feel welcome.
