Darlene Ericsson Obituary

Darlene J. (Moon) Ericsson 1946 - 2010 Darlene Janette (Moon) Ericsson was born on December 2, 1946 in Bakersfield, CA to her parents, Cliff and Virginia Moon and passed away quietly on October 7, 2010 with her family by her side. Although deeply saddened by their loss, Darlene's family knows that she is now by the Lord's side and is no longer suffering. Darlene graduated from East High School in 1965. She was a nurse at Kern Medical Center in the ER and dedicated her life to raising her children and helping others. Some of Darlene's interest included sewing, listening to music, and her beloved animals. She enjoyed the rain and the ocean, but was happiest when she got to spend time with her family. Darlene was blessed with seven Granddaughters who all resided in Bakersfield. A tradition that will now live on with Darlene's children was to have all of her Granddaughters come to her house to bake cookies during the holidays. Darlene is survived by her children, Sven Ericsson and his wife Michele, Teena Williamson and her husband Johnny, and Shaina George and her husband Travis. Darlene's beautiful granddaughters are Sydney Ericsson, Kasey Ericsson, Rylie Ericsson, Savanna Ericsson, Paris Williamson, Kylee George, and Brynlee George. Darlene is also survived by her sisters, Linda Qualls and Sue Braman and their children Duane Qualls, Lisa Bue, and Amy Chia. Services will be held at Hillcrest on Monday, October 18th, at 10:00 a.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits

I am so sorry for your loss. Darlene and I had to always had each other girls while they were growing up. They were either at my house or at hers. They had many good times together and so did we. She will be missed. She is now in a better place, smiling down upon us all and a guardain angel for her children and grandchildren. Rest in peace. Love Jody DeFrenza

I will always have found memories of your mother. She was such a great person and I will always think of her when I think of our childhood together. I wish we could have learned to sew as good as she did and I'm sure she was disappointed when we brough our finished products (the sweatshirt) home after HomeEd class. Your mom had such a nice smile and laugh. I will miss her, but I will always have nice memories of her!

May she rest in peace in God's arms. And remember, mother's will always be in your heart.

Love you guys.

I am so sorry to hear of Darlenes passing. I worked with her years ago and she was such a blessing in my life. She could always brighten my day with that BIG smile of hers. I never forgot her or the times we had a ball working together. God Bless you all in this time.
