David Stine Obituary

David Stine 1966 - 2010 David was born in Bakersfield, on Father's Day, June 19, 1966 to his parents, Doyle and Mary Anne Stine. He died peacefully at home with his life partner, Shondra Shelton, his mother and sister at his side, in the early morning, Tuesday, October 26, 2010. David enjoyed time with friends and family, fishing and gardening, and was known for his excellent and creative cooking talent. David and Shondra very much enjoyed time spent together, and special time with their family pet, Skippy, who will surely also miss his presence. Along with his mother, Mary Anne Stine, David is survived by his sister, Lisa St Mary Johnson and her husband Steven; his devoted mate, Shondra Shelton; his Aunt and Uncle, Helen and David Bass; sister-in-law, Dana Stine; his niece, Rebecca Stine; and numerous friends. He is predeceased by his much beloved elder brother, Doyle Stine Jr.; and his father, Doyle Stine Sr. A memorial service will be held in honor of David, on Friday, October 29, at 2:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, River Blvd. Services will be conducted by Frank Fish. www.bakersfield.com/obits

Mary. Lisa, and Shondra, I was so sorry to read of David's demise. I saw him a couple of years ago and he was so friendly and kind to me. He recognized me right away. He was a nice young man, and we parted with me thinking "That's another nice kid from our neighborhood". I know you will miss him greatly.
