2000 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Delainey Hope Doherty was born on May 5, of 2000 and joined her father in Heaven on November 11, 2016, after a lifetime of medical struggles. Despite all that she had been through, she lived with a tremendous zest for life. Delainey was active in school and loved AP classes, being the chess club president, and running track. Her favorite hobby was riding her beloved horse, Pookie, and barrel racing. She had the most amazing smile, a witty, sarcastic, and funny sense of humor. From a young age, Delainey's intellect set her apart from others.
Delainey was industrious and hardworking. She consistently envisioned and executed her own
successes while encouraging others to join her. Delainey's friends described her as a just leader, a
tender listener, and a courageous voice. There are no words that can express how much she will be
missed. Her family and friends are heartbroken at her passing. She will never be forgotten. She was and always will be adored.
She is preceded in death by her father Darryl Doherty. She is survived by her mother Jennifer Smith, brother Jeremy Ramirez, sister-in-law Kelly Flood, sister Lindsay Nicks, brother-in-law Michael Nicks as well as sisters Haleigh Ramirez, Brooklyn Perryman, Grace Doherty & Jaela Smith; aunt and uncle Jeanine & Pete Benenati, aunts Stacy & Christina King, aunt and uncle Michael & Melody Pritchard; godfather Don Domonoske; grandfather Richard Hood and countless cousins and other relatives who all loved her.
Funeral service will be held at Hingepoint Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2016. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dandy-Walker Alliance.
