Doyle Wayne Strasner Obituary
Doyle lost his battle to cancer peacefully at his home in Bull Head City, Arizona with his daughter at his side.
Doyle worked 30 years at Pacific Bell and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and golf - or as he called it "military golf." He enjoyed the Bell Club BBQs as well as The Spaghetti Feed each year. He continued the family tradition of Strasner's BBQ at the Kern County Fair for many years as it still continues in the family today. Each and every September 1st, he was out in full force for dove season with his son and many close friends. After retirement, Doyle moved to Cedar Edge, Colorado for the mountain environment.
He eventually moved to Bull Head City, AZ, where he continued to enjoy bowling, meeting up with friends at the Moose Lodge, and riding his Harley with the Mother Road Group out of Kingman. He looked forward to the annual Laughlin Bike run when many of his friends from Bakersfield visited and barbecued with him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Preston (Al) and Mary Lenora Strasner and brother and sister-in law Allen and Gay Strasner.
He leaves behind his son Steve Strasner, daughter Stacy Card (Tim), four grandchildren, Lindsey Card, Janson Card, Scott Strasner, Stephanie Stout (David), and one great-grandson, Josiah Stout.
A special thank you to his friends and neighbors who helped during his illness. Per Doyle's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Doyle's memory to Hospice Compassus of Bullhead City, AZ.
