Duane Venson Louis Obituary
Duane Venson Louis February 14, 1952 - July 15, 2012 Duane is now gone but the precious memories of his life will always be with us. He was such a kind, tender hearted person. With that, he was always helping someone in need, no matter what the need was. When he was small, he had rheumatic fever. It left him with a rheumatic heart, because of that it kept him from doing some things as a child. As an adult, he never let anything slow him down. Being a top bowler in his leagues, hiking, camping, fishing, and playing with his new granddaughter was his biggest joy. His mother's life was especially important to him, calling her at least once, sometimes more a day. He was so afraid something would happen to her. He had a sense of humor and aways made her laugh. She called him her sunshine, he could brighten her day. With his desire to help, he went back to college to become a counselor. That he did enjoy. After his health started failing, he had to leave his job but he still counseled some of his special people. Duane and his best friend Lisley Faithfully met every morning for bible study. He loved studying the Bible. Duane was the son of Winford (Louie) Louis (deceased) and Joyce Louis; brother, Darrel (Janet) Louis, Santa Cruz; sister, Brenda Tafaro, Bakersfield; sons, Wesley Louis (who so faithfully stood by his dad's side through his illness), and Casey Louis, Santa Cruz; daughter, Wendee Louis; grandddaughters, Isabella Louis, Klamath Falls, Ashlee Louis, Santa Cruz; grandson, Zachery Purrington. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 28th, at 10:00 a.m., at Homedale Baptist Church, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. www.bakersfield.com/obits
