bakersfield.com/obits Edan Orion Behm 06/30/2008 - 11/21/2013 Edan Orion Behm died abruptly on Thursday morning, November 21st, after contracting a rare influenza. He was 5 years old. Edan was born in Austin Texas on June 30th, 2008. A miracle child who always seemed to beat the odds, he underwent three open heart corrective surgeries, the first within days of being born and the last in 2011 at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. His sweet nature and determination never faltered. He was well loved by all who met him, in good times and difficult times... how amazing and strong he was... Edan loved books, especially Dr Seuss and comics, and was excited as he learned to read at Laurelglen Elementary, where he attended kindergarten. He loved his Legos, toys, new foods, adventures, and Super Heroes. He loved Disneyland, especially the Tower of Terror and Space Mountain, playing "puppies" with his brother, and making his friends laugh. He had a vivid imagination and an unbelievable vocabulary, and was a deep thinker. When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Edan would reply "a warrior". He never realized what a warrior he already was. He marched forward in life with so much confidence and strength that people were always surprised when they learned all that he had been through. Edan lives on in the hearts of his parents Eddie and Dazy Behm , his twin brother and best friend Nikolai, his Nana Susan Goodman, his grandparents Ed and Lisa Behm, his aunts Rita Behm and Mary Behm, his uncle David Behm and too many more to name... The funeral service is Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn SW on Panama Lane with a potluck reception to follow at a family friend's residence.
The Guest Book is expired.
