Edward Joe Eyraud Obituary
Edward Joe Eyraud was born July 1, 1944 and went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2016. Eddie was born to Joseph and Frances Eyraud, the third of five children. He attended Panama School, South High School, Bakersfield College, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Eddie was a lifelong farmer. He farmed from his teenage years until the day he died; only then checking on operations by phone. He proudly served in the Marine Reserves during the Vietnam War. For almost 12 years, Eddie served as a board member of the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District Board of Trustees. Eddie was happiest working on his ranch, hunting at his family's ranch in San Emigdio, fishing anywhere, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Pat (Baker) Eyraud. They were blessed with four wonderful sons: Eric (Charis), granddaughters Ashlyn Sterling (Bryce) and Mallory; Evan (Cheri), grandsons Joshua and Christian; Brett (Sandy), grandson Cory and granddaughter Haley; and Aaron (Amber), granddaughter Rilyn and grandson Dalton. He is also survived by his siblings, Edith Pascoe, Emily Blue (Don), Joe Eyraud (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie is predeceased by his parents and his brother Gary Eyraud.
Eddie was a member of Calvary Bible Church and had gone on several mission trips to Mexico and most recently to Honduras. He loved his Lord and his church and was sad when he could no longer attend due to declining health.
Eddie had many friends he enjoyed spending time with. He and Pat have a lovely home in Pismo and spent many happy times there. He was always ready for a hunting or fishing trip and was looking forward to accompanying his grandson Joshua on a big deer hunt in Bishop this December. It was not to be, but he will be on that hunt in spirit!
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Bible Church, 48 Manor Street, Tuesday, November 1 at 11:00 am, lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Special Projects Fund at Calvary Bible Church. The family created a Life Tributes page to share your memories. Please visit:
