Eleanor Nephney Schultz Branscum April 7, 1929 to May 2, 2013 Visitation for Eleanor Branscum will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6th at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. May 7th also at Greenlawn Southwest. Eleanor was preceded in death by parents Edward and Lydia Schultz and brother Alvin Schultz. She is survived by her husband Doyle Branscum; children Win (Cynthia) Branscum and Patrice Branscum; granddaughters Ricki Foster and Lisa (Steve) Butler; niece Jan (Barry) Hugo all of Bakersfield; nephew Mark Schultz of Stockholm, Sweden; great-grandchildren Josh Foster, Alexa Foster, Monica Gentry, Jordan Branscum, and Tessa Branscum. Eleanor was born in Clinton, Oklahoma then moved to Bakersfield at age 8. She attended Beardsley school and Bakersfield High School. Our beloved wife of 67 years and cherished mother passed away on May 2nd, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Our family would like to thank DaVita Dialysis/Brimhall for their loving care these past 3 years. We would also like to thank BFMC, Priority Care, and Optimal Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness. She was a kind and considerate person who loved to read, cook, and bake wonderful pies and desserts. Our family will miss her greatly, but we will continue to keep our blessed memories of her forever.
