Elenore Gill Obituary
Mom (Pat) was born in the Canal Zone, Panama where her family helped build the Panama Canal. She lived there until her marriage to Raymond Gill on August 31, 1952. After their marriage, they moved to Santa Monica, CA and then settled in Reseda, CA where their three children Lynn, Tricia and Scott were born.
While living in Reseda, Mom volunteered at Lokrantz School for children with special needs; a job she dearly adored. In 1969, the family moved to Bakersfield, CA where she made many lifelong friendships. If you knew Mom, you loved her. Mom was also a very creative person in everything she did. She took acrylic painting classes for fun and ended up being an accomplished artist. She was commissioned by many to paint pictures for them. She had several of her own shows and also participated in many juried shows. Her only problem was that once she finished a painting she wanted to keep it for herself! She volunteered many years at the Bakersfield Art Museum hanging shows. She also volunteered with the Civic Dance Theatre working on the annual Nutcracker performance. She helped make some of the original costumes worn by the dancers many years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin F. and Zonabelle Kuller, her brother Benjamin C. Kuller, her son Craig Scott Gill and her husband of sixty-two years Raymond Gill.
She is survived by her sister Jean Perry; daughters Lynn (Gary) Rose and Tricia (Pat) Bergin; grandchildren Chad (Desiree) Casper, Marissa (Harry) Noroian, Brett Bergin, Matthew (Danica) Bergin, Kaitlyn Gill and Lauren Gill; great grandchildren Cole and Hannah Casper and Lacey Bergin. Gone from our lives, but forever in our hearts !
There will be a Celebration of Life for family at a later date. If you wish, you may make a donation to the SPCA in Mom's name. A special thanks to Hoffman Hospice for all their help !
