In Loving Memory of Elinor MacDonald July 20, 1920 - June 18, 2012 Elinor, 91, passed away peacefully Monday June 18, 2012. Elinor, born in Detroit, moved to Monrovia, California in 1957 with her husband John, who preceded her in death, and 5 of their 7 children. Elinor and John eventually settled in Bakersfield California, having two more kids. Elinor, besides being a mother who loved her children, worked for Kern County as a secretary, retiring in 1985. In 2005, after losing her husband, Elinor moved to Alameda California to be closer to some of her children, who had made their homes in the Bay Area. Elinor was a devoted and passionate mother and loved babies. In 2009, because of some physical limitations, Elinor moved to the Chateau in Pleasant Hill, California. There she met and became friends with many residents, whom she loved to sit and converse with over a cup of coffee. She also loved a good shopping trip and the local public library. Elinor is survived by daughters Mary MacDonald (Albert Martinez) Catherine DeRego, Loretta Fena (Pete) and Joyce Eskridge (William) and sons James, Bill (Andrea) and John. Grandchildren: Elvin (Ashley) Catherine (Tony) Dustin and Haley. Step Grandchildren: William III, Christina, Jaro , Ellery, Alex.
