Elizabeth Holderman Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Holderman was born on November 3, 1931 to Mac and Leona McIlvain in Emporia, Kansas. She passed away on October 30, 2014. She is survived by her children Teresa, Robert, Rick and Scott; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Ann came to California and married Marlin Swanson in 1946 and had one daughter Teresa. She married again in 1951 to Stan Scott and had two sons Bob and Rick. Later in life, she married the love of her life Bud Holderman in 1975 until his death in 1982.
Ann could light up a crowd wherever she went. She never met a person she didn't like. Her warmth and charm brightened everyone who knew her. She was full of kindness, cheerfulness, humor and everlasting love. Her true passion in life was people and she always came to help others in need. She worked for Dr. Thomas Larwood for 21 years and every patient loved "Annie". In her later work she was a massage therapist with the strongest, kindest hands that soothed every ache and pain.
Ann's bright light in this world will be forever missed by so many people who loved her so fondly. The family would like to thank Flo Moreno of Golden Hearts and the staff of Hoffman Hospice for their loving care and compassion. They both made the family feel like they shared the grief of losing a precious mother.
A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 2216 17th Street, Bakersfield California on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
