Eva Cruz Calderon Obituary
Eva Cruz Calderon September 10, 1917 - February 2, 2013 Eva Cruz Calderon was born on September 10, 1917 to Antonio and Angelita Cruz in Arizona where she grew up and married Cesario Calderon. Eva and her husband, Cesario, eventually moved to California. They raised six children. Eva was an excellent homemaker, and she worked outside her home too. After her husband passed away, Eva continued to work cleaning houses until the age of 72 years. She was often considered a beloved family member for many of the households in which she worked. Nana lived the last 10 years at Rosewood Convalescent Home where she continued to crochet. Eva is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sons, Abraham and Daniel. She entered Heaven's Gates on Saturday, February 2, 2013 surrounded by family. Eva is survived by two sons, Louis and Cornelius; two daughters, Ruth and Rebecca; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. The family appreciates all the care she received at Rosewood where she was affectionately called "Mama" by all of the staff. Much appreciation also to Hoffmann Hospice for their help to the very end. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery (3700 River Blvd.) on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. and followed by a reception at Grace Assembly of God Church (2800 Larson Lane).
