Eva Mae Lynch was born in Ventura, CA on July 20, 1925 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her two sons on May 24, 2014, in Minnesota.
Eva spent her early years in Taft, CA, graduating from Taft High School in 1943. She married Charles Frederick Lynch, also from Taft, in 1951.
After high school, Eva moved to Bakersfield, CA with her family. The war was ongoing and Eva loved to dance with the servicemen at the local USO. She told stories of attending dances at Camp Roberts, Minner Field and Gardner Field.
She was an outgoing, fun-loving person who was very active in the community and proud to be part of the effort to bring the first YWCA to Bakersfield.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Faye Richardson, and sisters, Helen Williams, and Opal Niebel, and survived by her sons, David Charles (Teresa) of Minnesota, and John Frederick (Zhang Qing) of Shanghai and Nipomo, CA, 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Service to be held, Thursday, June 5th, 2:00pm, at First United Methodist Church, 4600 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93309.
