Evelyn Ann Totton 1926 - 2012 Evelyn Ann Totton, 86, residing in Bakersfield, California, passed away on the 16th of May due to natural causes. She was born on the 28th of August, 1926, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Paul and Rosa Branson. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in business, although she remained a homemaker her entire life. She was an active member of United Methodist Church in Bakersfield, California, as well as charitable volunteer activities around the community, helping seniors. At the young age of 65, she learned to ride horses. She often took it upon herself to bring meals and entertainment to the less fortunate throughout the community. She was well liked by everyone; with her good nature and sweet disposition, it was hard not to. Evelyn is survived by her brother, Arthur Branson and family of Port Arthur, Texas; children, Linda Hamilton of Porterville, California, Paul and Sharon Hamilton of Anaheim, California; grandson, Brent Hamilton, currently stationed in Afghanistan. Also surviving her were her countless number of friends who were with her up until the end. Evelyn survived the passing of two husbands. Visitation will held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. A graveside service will be held on May 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park.
