Florence Joan Giminiani Rea 1931 - 2012 Florence Rea, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away suddenly Friday, September 7, 2012. Florence was a native Californian, born in December 1931 in Bakersfield, California, the third of five children born to Mike (Michele) Giminiani originally from Italy and Jennie (Zdenka) Koutkova originally from Czechoslovakia. Florence, her husband, Clarence and four children moved to Grover City (Grover Beach) in 1968. During the 1970s, Florence served on the Grover Beach Planning Commission and was the owner of Ms. Fashions on Grand Avenue. Florence is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Clarence; daughters Jennifer Rea Hardin (Chris) of Tarzana; Karen Rea of Morro Bay; and Denise Rea (Warren Flaschen) of Morro Bay; son, Bill Rea of Grover Beach; grandchildren Calah Hardin and Ben Hardin of Tarzana; brother Fred Giminiani of Bakersfield; sister Genevieve Myers of Arroyo Grande; sister Shirlee Davies of Pismo Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the western states. She was preceded in death by sister Josephine Davis of Fresno. At Florence's request there will be no service. A memorial is being planned for her immediate family.
