Florence Rocha Obituary
Florence Rocha passed away September 19, 2014 at home surrounded by her Children and Grandchildren. Florence was born in Paragould, Arkansas January 31, 1928 to Charlie and Alvie Rutledge. She moved to Bakersfield, California when she was 8 years old.
She was a stay at home mom until her children attended school. She then started working for Bakersfield City School District as a cafeteria worker and worked her way up as a manager where she remained until she retired.
She is preceded in death by her Father Charlie and Mother Alvie Rutledge, Husband Joe Rocha and her 4 Brothers and 1 Sister. She is survived by her 3 Children Linda Grimm (Larry) Debbie Rocha-Calles (Alex) Joey Rocha (Connie) her adopted Daughter Esther Reyes and Special Grandson Rucco, 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence's family would like to extend their gratitude to Guardian Home Care, especially Sita and Sylvia. A special thank you to Cousin Dave Tosti for always being there.
Rosary will be recited Thursday Sept. 25th at 6:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Sept. 26th. at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 9905 Ramos Ave. Graveside services will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery on Panama Lane. Luncheon will follow immediately at Sacred Heart Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to or Sacred Heart Altar Society.
