Frances Goff, 96, of Bakersfield, passed away February 11, 2016.
She was born October 13, 1919 in Vinita Oklahoma. As a youth, she moved with her family to the California Bay Area. There she attended beauty college and began working as a hairdresser.
In her early twenties, she married Charles Grant, who was killed soon after in WWII.
In 1946 she married Ray Goff, and they moved to Bakersfield and had a daughter, Barbara. They were married for almost fifty years prior to his death.
In 1977 she married Don Baker, and they shared twelve happy years together until his passing.
She was actively involved in women's ministries at First Christian Church for many years.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Barbara Firkins and husband, Tom, of Visalia; granddaughters, Michele Kirkley and husband, Rick, and Debbie Rundle and husband, Tye, all of Bakersfield; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
Frances was a sweet and caring woman with a huge heart and smile, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
