Frank J. Golino Obituary
Born: Feb 4, 1949 Vallejo California.
He was unexpectedly taken from this life to live eternally with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ August 6th.
Frank graduated from Yuba City and was one of the Honkers. He excelled at wrestling, football and track.
Frank served 2 -tours in Vietnam. After an injury he volunteered for his second tour so he could pilot helicopters. He was crew chief with Troop C, 7th Armored Squadron of the 1st Cavalry Blackhawk. He was awarded the Medal for action in Vietnam, among many others.
He began his career in the oil industry in 1975. The majority of his career was with Schlumberger, as the Western United States Sales Manager. He was a mentor and leader to many. Many of his co-workers report that Frank was the leader that gave them their chance and helped them advance.
He met his best friend and love of life at Otis Engineering in 1982 and 6 months later made Susan his wife. Just a year later they were excited to welcome their little princess Sierra.
Frank and Susan so enjoyed Sierra and their beautiful grandchildren. He loved supporting Sierra's color guard team and could always be counted on to chauffeur the team and drive the gator. Susan called him one of the other team mom's.
Frank had a passion for travel and enjoyed scuba diving. He was one of Disney's biggest fans. His favorite weekends began with Fridays at the Club, followed-up with their marathon movie watching, kettle corn and barbequing Susan's Boca burgers and his NY steak. Frank loved legos and engineering them into magnificent formations. He was a loyal friend and went out of his way to show everyone how important they were to him.
He enjoyed Bible Study at Rock Harbor Church on Sunday's.
He is survived by his wife Susan Golino, whom he loved dearly for 32 years, daughter, Sierra Martinez, and her husband Oscar Martinez, granddaughters, Vienna, Hailey, grandsons, Stevie, William. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers, with special thanks to Pastor Brandon Holthaus, Rock Harbor Church and the Schlumberger Family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Seven Oaks Country Club.
