Frank Parker Peacock, lifelong resident and business leader in the Bakersfield community, passed away on November 10, surrounded by his family- Bobbie, his wife of 56 years, his children Robert and Elizabeth, and granddaughter Emma. Parker was preceded in death by his daughter Kathryn and his brother Paul. He leaves behind his loving family- sister Joan and her husband Ven Holladay, and extended family.
Graduating from E. Bakersfield High and Bakersfield College, Parker joined the Coast Guard in 1951, achieving Sonarman 3rd Class at discharge in 1954. He continued his education at San Francisco State, earning a Business Administration degree. He returned to the family business he operated with his father, Wayne's Dairy, from the early 1940's, managing operations and a large dairy distribution business until the mid-'70's. He continued many interests in ranching, livestock, real estate, and civic leadership past retirement in 1994.
Parker's civic leadership included Boards of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, and President of the Kern Delta Daily Association. A member of the Bakersfield Masonic Lodge 224, he achieved a 50-year service award. Parker was also in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 40 years.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 18, at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. A private interment ceremony will follow at Union Cemetery.

Parker will be remembered by all as a generous, deeply kind, and loving family man, avid fisherman, and a son of Bakersfield.
