Dear Lord from the heavens above
You’ve called our Father, our friend, that we so love

To the place you’ve prepared for eternal life
And there to greet him is his daughter and his wife

All of us here are saddened with grief
Knowing he is with loved ones is such a relief

To some he is Dad, Grandpa, Whimpy, and of course Frank
Growing up Frank seemed larger than and army tank

At times Frank seemed mean, very strict, and stern
From this man many things we did learn

So Lord, take your son by the hand
Take him to the place called The Promise Land

The angel wings you might not like
The Lord says they’re easier than riding a bike

Frank, when I arrive meet me at the door
But until then please spread your wings and soar.
