Fredrick Roman Castro May 22, 1952 - April 30, 2012 Preceded in death by his father, Elmer Castro, Rico is survived by his spouse Loraine, son Tom and daughter in law Denise, granddaughter Sophia Castro, daughter Courtney and grandson Joshua Franco, son Roman and daughter in law Jessica, granddaughters Elly, Vivi, and Andi, mother Betty Castro, sister and brother in law Victoria and Ernie Morin, brother and sister in law Sonny and Ava Castro, sister and brother in law Cindy and Ernie Escalera, twin siblings Wesley Castro and Wanda Castro, sister and brother in law Betty Jane and Matthew Alva, Chet's aunt Vivian Canez, aunt Carmelita Estrada, and aunt and uncle Irene and Pete Soto, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rico loved being outdoors hunting and fishing with his sons, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was most at home in the mountains, relaxing by a river. He was fiercely devoted to his family and adored and doted over his grandchildren. It was very important to Rico to teach his children about their Native American heritage. Rico supported his family with his lifelong work in the construction and cement business. A special note of gratitude to Jessica for assisting Rico during his last moments.
