Obituary Condolences

Gary Lynn Williams, 63, of Mountain Mesa, California, went to his heavenly home on November 15, 2016, in Mountain Mesa, California.
Gary was born in Bakersfield, California to Glenn Milan and Wanda Dorothy Williams on November 12, 1953. He attended high school at Foothill High School and graduated in 1971. Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1978. He went on to earn a degree in education from Bakersfield College. He worked as a 6th grade teacher for the Panama Buena Vista School District for more than 30 years. Gary was a member of the American Legion Post 711 and the Legion Riders organization. He was also deeply involved in the Freewill Baptist Church of Bakersfield, Bakersfield Chapter of the American Goldwings Association, Bakersfield Street Riders, Southern Gospel Quartets Regents, and the Golden State Quartet where many were blessed with his beautiful bass voice. He enjoyed singing, motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his loving family. Gary's love of gospel music was matched only by his love of performing and singing all across the state. His unmistakably beautiful bass tone lent a powerful and moving attribute to each of the many musical organizations he was a member of throughout his life.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
