Geral Paul Dragoo Obituary
Jerry attended Taft Union High School and graduated as valedictorian
in 1964. After high school, Jerry attended Stanford University, and
graduated in 1968.
Jerry married Leslie (Hall) in 1968. He was drafted into military service in 1969, serving in both the United States and Germany. Their daughter Lara was born during his service in Germany. Jerry continued his education at Cal State Bakersfield, where he earned a Masters in Education and Curriculum and another in Administration. While finishing those degrees, he began his career at Taft Union HS, where he rose to the position of Superintendent in
1994. Their second child, Mathew, was born in Bakersfield in 1975.
Jerry and Leslie relocated to Shell Beach in 2002, where they have
resided ever since. Living in Shell Beach, Jerry delighted in the elephant seals, whales, and sea otters; he also thoroughly enjoyed the wines of the Central Coast, and was partial to the zinfandels.
Jerry will be forever remembered and missed by many.

her husband, Daniel Eriksson; his adored grandchildren Nicklas and
Sophia; his brother James, his cousin Robin Dragoo, and his mother-in- law Nora Marie Hall. He was preceded in death by his son Mathew, his parents Eldon and Phyllis Dragoo, and his paternal grandmother Pearl Dragoo.
