Gino J. DiGiorgio Obituary
Gino was born to Vincent and Serfina DiGiorgio (Muffoletto) in Cetalu, Sicily, Italy. He came with his parents to America when he was 3 months old. Gino was raised in the Arvin/DiGiorgio area and graduated from BHS in 1948 and later joined the U.S. Army. After the service he worked for Arco for 20 years and for 3- Way Cheverolet for 20 years and finally retiring in 1995.
Gino passed away peacefully with his family by his side and he is survived by his wife, Jean and 3 daughters; Sara DiGiorgio, Teri Hayward (Ken), Gina Raynor (Guy) and 1 son Jason Duggan (Corrie). He is also survived by 2 stepchildren; Stephanie Johannes, Steve Matthews (Dana). His brother, Sam DiGiorgio and sister Connie Nye, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Maria Griffith and step-son Eddie Miller.
Gino loved all his family; going to the beach, Las Vegas and having family BBQ's. He was a generous man and role model to all.
Our family would like to thank Hoffman Hospice for all Gino's care and all of his caregivers. He will be missed by all.
Rosary will be said Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. St. Philip's Church on Stockdale Hwy with Mass immediately following at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Bear Mountain Road following the service
