Glen Patrick Patterson Obituary
Glen Patrick Patterson October 15, 1962 - December 14, 2013 Our beloved son and brother passed away unexpectedly and is now basking in the glory of God's love and joyfully celebrating with all those who have gone before him. He is survived by his loving Mother and Father, Marilyn and Jim Hoffman; Sister Lori and her partner Connie; Cousins too many to count but more specifically his favorites Jane Moon, Debbie Acker and Amy Hoffman. Glen served proudly in the United States Air Force and enjoyed seeing Europe while he was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in England. While in the Air Force he learned his trade as a Master Machinist and could make anything out of a piece of metal. Though Glen had been battling his illness for quite a while his passions in life were many. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping with his labrador's (Blue and Hooch), fishing, target shooting and collecting guns. His greatest love was flying his Gyro Copter that he built from the ground up and flew with his friend Jarron. Glen also loved riding his Harley and had a great time with his buddies when they rode to Utah one year. The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops and yet it still echoes on in sweet refrains. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains in our hearts until we meet again. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 10:00 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield California. www.bakersfield.com/obits
