Glenda Lois Josephson Obituary
Glenda Lois Josephson, age 76 years, of Bakersfield, CA, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at her residence. Born in Muskogee, OK, January 12, 1938, and a member of the Cherokee Nation, she was the daughter of Samuel and Pearl Latta. She resided in Bakersfield, CA, for over fifty years.
Speaking of her life, Glenda said, "I was widowed at an early age with three small children and reared them as a single parent. I remarried and had another child, and through circumstances, was again a single parent. My children are grown now with families of their own. I am happy to say I must have done OK since they are all productive members of the community. I have always enjoyed working with children. I made sure I was a participant in my children's education. I personally enjoy doing craft projects and love to share my knowledge and experience of crafts with young children.
Glenda is survived by three sons, Allen Bomar, Kenneth Bomar, and Donald Kinkade; and one daughter, Billie Stephens; nine grandchildren, Leslie Martinez; Andre and Shawna Stephens; Elizabeth, Katelynn, and Alycia Bomar; Chayla, Storm, and Thunder Kinkade; and six great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Garrison-Bomar, Isaac and Gracie Martinez, Andre William Jr. and Aiden Stephens, and Travis Kramer.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.
