Mom worked as a transportation driver for the Senior Citizens Center for 20 years. She was a member of Bethany UMC for 25 years and an active volunteer for the Welfare Dept. She worked for the Volunteer Center and loved by all volunteers she placed. Mom was an active member for Bethany United Methodist Church until it closed. She served the Lord with all her heart. Mom's love of God is what drove her to serve others. She looked forward to retirement so that she could work full time for God. Mom's life was changed in 1970 when she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into her life. She served and loved the Lord through teaching of the Word in Sunday school and Bible Study. Her love for the Word of God was shared with whoever would listen. Mom loved her family, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Mom loved music. She loved to sing in church, hymns and coritos. She also loved to listen to Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck. Mom loved to be around all children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a light and an inspiration to all. Through mom's illness, she never lost her humor or love for life. Mom held a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews. Her family would like to give a special thanks to Tina, Violetta, Margaret and Emmie at Heritage Assisted Living. A huge void will be left by mom's passing. She was loved by all.
