Hazel Irene Ennis

1921 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
Hazel Irene Ennis Obituary
Hazel Irene Ennis December 5, 1921 - May 12, 2012 Hazel was born in Thompson, Arkansas on December 5th, 1921. She was born to Henry and Florence Jones and was the oldest of 9 children. She married at age 18 and had 7 children of her own. She was a homemaker and raised her children to believe in God, family and country - which was the most blessed gift of all. She made most of her children's' clothing and was known for her homemade pies and cobblers! She was also a wonderful artist and loved oil painting, as well as crafted sculptured dolls. She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Ennis, her parents, her first born child Travis, 2 sisters Lola and Colleen and a brother Ralph. She is survived by her children Sue, Linda, Brenda, John, Jim and Don and their spouses. She has 58 Grandchildren (great and great-great) and is truly loved by them ALL! The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Optimal Hospice for their loving care and support, as well as the nurses and staff at Glenwood Gardens Skilled Nursing facility for their wonderful care of our beloved Mother and Grandmother. Visitation will be held at Mish Funeral Home (120 Minner Ave.) on Thursday, May 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18th in the Mish Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A reception will be held at the Fellowship for Christ Church (5609 S. "H" St.) immediately following the burial at Hillcrest. www.bakersfield.com/obits
