On the morning of April 1, 2016, Hazel Louise Pritchard, peacefully left this earth to join her two sons Dennis and Tommy Stinnett and other loved ones in our Heavenly Kingdom. She passed away at her home from natural causes. She was 80 years old.
Hazel was born at home in McFarland, California on December 22, 1935. She was the first born to Leonard Reid and Vesta Collins.
Hazel did not have time working the typical 9 to 5 job, as her time was consumed raising and caring for 6 boys with her first husband, Edward Stinnett. Hazel devoted her life to family and friends. She will be remembered for many things. First of all, she was one of the most amazing women who was caring, compassionate, non-judgmental and who always put others before herself. She was a talented cook, she loved singing and dancing, reading a good love story, crocheting, and playing games with family and friends on her iPad.
Hazel is survived by her "sweetheart" Ed Trogdon who gave her much joy in her last few years of life, her oldest son Darrell, and his wife Cathy, Michael and his wife Beta, Gary and his wife Edith, and Eddie and his wife Isabel, her daughter-in-law Lisa (Tommy's wife), her sister Patsy McConnell, and her brother Jimmy Nichols, 24 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren, and many, many friends.
Brother Kenneth Noel will be officiating chapel services on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:00PM and visitation is scheduled on Thursday, April 7, 2016 between 4-8PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary located at 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93306. Reception will be announced at the services.
