Helen Louise Chroman Obituary
Long time resident of Delano, Helen Louise Chroman, born December 20, 1925, went home to be with her Lord and Savior February 28, 2015. She went peacefully in her sleep into the arms of Jesus at her home. Born to Vonie and Lester Ingram, McFarland farmers, she was raised with brothers, Merlin, Dub, Bentley, Jack, and Kenny Ingram. She had one sister Monota Ingram Rambo. She attended Delano High and worked in the Delano Hospital during WWII. She married Lawrence (Snowy) Chroman in 1944.
She is survived by Tanya (Ron) Broberg of Santa Maria, Larry (Antonette) Chroman, of Jackson, Wyoming, and Kenny and Dewanda Ingram of Los Osos. She was preceded in death by son, Doug in 1979 and Snowy in 1995. Louise continued to live in Delano until 2009 when she moved to Pismo Beach. She leaves grandchildren, Tyra McNamana, Samantha Bernard, Sabrina (Sid) Wheeler, Joseph (Erika) Underhill, Vonie (Jeff) Grimm, Stephanie (Matt) List, Tanya, Lawrence and Antica Chroman. Greats, Savanna (Vinny) Ciucolli, Shayln and Sydney Wheeler, Priscilla and Alexandria Bernard, Brittany and Brooke McNamara, Samuel Koa Underhill, Caleb, Sammy and Andrew List, and Benjamin Grimm. Two Great Great, Emila and Elisia Ciucolli.
Services will be at North Kern Cemetery, in Delano on Friday, March 6th, at 11:00am. Arrangements by Resis Funeral Home, San Luis Obispo. Pallbearers are Lawrence Chroman, Sid Wheeler, Matt List, Joseph Underhill, Mike Martin, Lester Ingram. Honorary, Chadney Ingram and Jeff Grimm. She was an example of elegance and love and will always be in our hearts.
