She is survived by her husband John and children Kathleen, Flynn, and Kevin. Helen was the oldest of seven children, born September 2, 1947 in Bakersfield to Dr. Philip Halloran and Patricia Moran. The family soon moved to the Los Angeles area where Helen attended Marymount High School and graduated from USC with a degree in Dental Hygiene. The family returned to California in 1987 and settled back in Bakersfield in 1994 after briefly working in Ventura and Santa Maria. Helen continued to practice dental hygiene and found her true passion as a volunteer at St. Philips Parish where she helped organize the music for the Sonrise Singers group, ERE, and Vacation Bible School. In addition to her immediate family, Helen is survived by 6 of her siblings Anne, Mark, Sheila, Tim and Tara MacHarg, stepsiblings Bill Jakubowski and Caroline Tucker, stepmother Anne-Marie Halloran, and numerous nieces and nephews.
